We are small,
flexible and friendly team, with a very strong work ethic and commitment
to the highest professional values.
Cross-border Information's editorial output and diverse client base
require the input of as many well-qualified, well-situated correspondents
and experts as possible. Some of them work in-house and others are
long-established correspondents and freelance contributors - but
even this elite bunch can't hope to know everything... If you think
you have the skills, contacts and enthusiasm to work with a small
but growing operation on a freelance or full-time basis, please
send details to:

Middle East/Africa-focused opportunities
Journalists
and research staff with a strong Middle East/Africa background are required
by a growing, friendly but highly focused South Coast-based business intelligence
and publishing company. You will be working on a range of well-respected
products, based in a small office that is generally seen to be a pleasant
and stimulating work environment.
- Production and
editorial control editor - you are Quark and Photoshop literate, and
can also copy sub (from handling the most complex of stories to spotting
the smallest fault) quickly and incisively to a satisfyingly high level
of performance. You will work closely with our editorial director, editors
and a large team of writers in the UK and abroad, as well as with in-house
production staff
- Specialist journalist/researcher
- ideally you already have a professional interest (possibly with academic
background) in the Maghreb or other regions of the Middle East/Africa.
You write and speak excellent English, and can work in French and/or
Arabic; and you are comfortable conducting research and writing a wide
range of content to exacting deadlines.
- Researcher/trainee
journalist - with scope for considerable professional growth, to start,
you will focus on compiling essential data (notably on the African energy
industry), while developing wider writing and research skills across
a range of products. Relevant language skills might help; you certainly
want to know more about how the world works.
For more information,
please send a CV (plus references and examples of published/unpublished
material if you have them) to working@cbi-publishing.com.
